Is She Thinking Long and Hard About You?
ByThe age-old debate goes on, only now it’s out in the open. From mainstream magazine covers to popular television shows, the topic of
ideal penis size seems to be everywhere. Women are definitely more likely to talk about it and joke about it openly than ever before. Yet surprisingly, it seems that while women are comfortably engaged in the discussion these days, it’s the men who are practically obsessed,
and they’re seeking answers to their size-related anxiety in record numbers.
The question remains, though: how much do women care about size?
If you get your answer from television, you might end up feeling quite puny indeed. Episodes of Sex and the City and Ally McBeal made a
big issue of penis size, going so far as to make clear statements from main characters that indicated their absolute preference for well-hung men. Sex and the City’s Samantha finally finds a man she wants to have a relationship with, but for one problem: his penis is too small.
She cries about it, whines to her friends about it, and finally, in a couple’s therapy session with the unfortunate dude, blurts out that he is
too small! The guy storms out, and the female counselor nods sagely at Samantha in sympathetic understanding. All to the good, since Samantha’s friends had already agreed it was OK to dump a guy if he’s too small. The Ally McBeal program also depicted women ditching
men who weren’t up to their size standards.
While the media and society-at-large seem to be saying one thing, a 2005 study at UCLA showed that 85% of the women surveyed said
they were “very satisfied” with their partner’s size. Not too surprisingly, women were far more critical of their own bodies than their mates’. Still, there is a minority of women (as many as 20 – 30% of women, according to one Dutch study) who genuinely do prefer a larger penis, while there is an even smaller percentage who specifically say they dislike a large penis.
Women also make a distinction about length vs. girth, in that the thickness of the shaft is mentioned by some as being more important than total length. Indeed, a penis that is too long can be the cause of discomfort or even pain (there’s another episode of Sex and the City
where Samantha dumps a guy for being too big. What is with these women?).
What is clear about the size debate is that it matters very much to men. Regardless of the mixed messages from the ladies, men simply
take great pride in larger size. Whatever that feeling is based on, society’s expectations, cultural influences, tradition, and so on, it is a
very real, very important value to men. It’s an obvious symbol of their masculinity; men who worry about pleasing their partners and being attractive to women have those fears closely tied to penis size.
Ironically, when men worry about it, they may actually put their performance at risk. What a catch-22! One possibility is to seek confidence
by way of male enhancement supplements (they really do help) like VigRX , or devote themselves to an exercise or penis enlargement
program with a stretching device like ProExtender . There’s a lot more information about how these devices work at www.proextender.com.
At the end of the day, though, the most important thing is to get comfortable with what you have, and use it to your best advantage. Remember that women in real life go for confidence, humor and a genuine interest in her as a whole person – and being a caring, involved
lover makes the size issue, well, pretty small.
