How To Measure Your Penis

By semenax

Seems you can hardly open your email or turn on the TV without seeing some reference to “male enhancement,” which we all know begs
the question, “do you feel OK with the size of your penis?” With all this emphasis on the size issue, let’s make sure we’re all using the same criteria. What’s the right way to measure your penis?

It’s useful to do measurements in both the flaccid and erect states. Measure length along the top of the penis, from the point where the
base meets your belly to the tip of the penis. When you measure your erect penis, take the average of 3 different measurements taken
at 3 different times, because erection length can vary somewhat depending on things like room temperature, time since your last sexual experience and even time of day.

To check the girth, or circumference, use a fabric tape measure or a piece of string. Wrap it around the widest part of your cock, and
note where the tape or string touches itself. Again, take 3 measurements at different times, and find the average.

Of course, everyone who measures wants to know how they compare with the rest of the male population. First, realize that
measurements of the flaccid penis are somewhat less important, since so many things can influence the non-aroused penis size –
temperature of the water when swimming can cause temporary “shrinkage.” That being said, the average flaccid length is somewhere between 3” and 4”

Most of the “average” measurements you’ll find online refer to the erect penis. The Alfred C. Kinsey Institute for Sex Research found the average erect penis to be 6.16 inches long, and 4.84 inches around. An UCSF study by Wessells et.al. published in 1996 found an
average of 5.1 inches; a study by a Brazilian urologist found an average of 5.7 inches; a German study in 1996 also reported an average
of 5.7 inches. What’s interesting to note about those figures is that the Kinsey study relies on self-measurement, where the following 3 studies used measurements made by a member of their staff. Note that the self-measuring group is longer on average!

Circumference or girth measurements vary by researcher, too, but the Kinsey report average is 4.84” around; in the UCSF study, the average was 4.9” around; and in the Brazilian study the average was 4.7” around.

An important note to young men trying this experiment: you may not have reached your full “potential” yet. Growth happens unevenly in adolescent boys, and many don’t finish growing until 18 or 19 years old, or even later. First the testicles, then the penis, enlarge. And it happens on a different timetable for every young man, which in the slower-to-show group can lead to lots of unfair teasing and torturing.
Be assured, though, that curiosity about penis size is almost universal among men.

That’s because the size of the penis is very closely tied to the idea of masculinity in most cultures. And that explains why there has been
an enormous amount of effort and research into the development of penis-enlargement treatments. For men who have any size-related insecurity, there are some options out there. For instance, many men have gained newfound confidence in adulthood through the use of penis traction devices. These devices are relatively simple and made to apply constant, even pulling on the penis for many hours a day
over a period of time. The best gadget of this sort was developed by a doctor for use in urological clinics and to treat penile deformities
such as abnormal curvature of the penis (Peyronie’s disease). The same device, called ProExtender, is available to the public for use as a penis enlargement device. There’s a lot more information about how it works and why at the ProExtender website: www.proextender.com .

Other men choose natural supplements, such as VigRX pills, as the more convenient and easy method of boosting their confidence.
Though penis pills are more for increasing performance and pleasure, they may contribute to harder and larger erections. Many men also
say that using a good penis pill supplement along with the use of a traction device is the best combination, and that the pills, by increasing blood flow to the area, help to speed along the results of using the ProExtender. For a closer look at the ingredients and how penis pills
work, check out www.vigrx.com

If you’re considering any of these approaches, it really pays to be well-informed. The internet is quite full of scamsters pushing worthless remedies, but with a bit of research, you’ll find the real deal. Get even more information about penis enlargement techniques by reading
